Kouhei OGAWA Study on crack resitance evaluation parameters of asphalt concrete by Semi-Circular Bending Test Osamu TAKAHSHI The purpose of this study is to propose a simple method for evaluating the crack resistance of asphalt concrete. The bending fatigue test, which is a conventional evaluation method,is unsuitable as a daily quality control test because test time is long and testing machine is expensive. In this study, we evaluated the validity of the crack resistance evaluation of asphalt concrete by Semi-circular Bending Test and examined the effective evaluation parameters. In the bending fatigue test, the crack growth rate and the number of crack occurrences are acquired as evaluation parameters. But in the Semi-Circular Bending test,the slope of the load-displacement curve before the load peak and after the peak were obtained. Then,it was examined whether the parameters obtained from the Semi-circular Bending Test have validity as evaluation parameters for crack resistance of asphalt concrete.
