Keita KUBO Research on Prior Grasp of Evacuation Behavior in Nursing Homes for the Elderly Yoko MATSUDA In recent years, floods and landslides caused by heavy rain and typhoons have caused damage in various places. Typhoon No. 10 occurred in August 2016, flooding the Omoto River flowing through Iwaizumi town, Iwate Prefecture, killed nine users of a nursing home. Along with this incident, the Flood Control Act and the Sediment Disaster Prevention Law were revised in June 2017 to prompt smooth evacuation of nursing home users. The new scheme asks the facilities mandatory preparation and evacuation drills. It is necessary to grasp the problems of nursing homes based on the geographical conditions and their attributes, and make an evacuation plan considering specific problems. In this study, the author investigate and analyze the evacuation plans of nursing homes in advance. First, a questionnaire survey was conducted on residential nursing care facilities located in 15 municipalities along the Shinano River in order to investigate differences in evacuation behavior in advance according to geographical conditions and facility attributes of nursing care facilities for the elderly. From the results of the questionnaire, the difference in the grasping time due to geographical conditions was confirmed. Next, a logistic regression analysis was performed to quantitatively understand the magnitude of the influence on the presence or absence of grasp. We conducted a hearing survey on the factors that influence the prior understanding that were clarified in the questionnaire results, in order to ensure consistency with the considerations. From these results, it was clarified that the evacuation behavior of the elderly care facility was influenced by geographical conditions and facility attributes to a certain extent.
