Method to set connection alignment of wriggle motion for shield tunneling

In peactice, Shield can not fowllow the planned alignment sometimes.during tunnel excavation. Since shield moves like a snake motion during tunnel excavation.
Then this study aimed to develop a method to set the movement of correction alignment so that the shield moved back to the planned one. The shield deviated from planned alignment one.
Tunnel alignment is composed of horizontal alignment and vertical one.The horizonted alignment is the projection of the tunnel alignment in 3D.
on horizontal plan.The vertical alignment is the projection of the tunnel alignment in 3D.on vertical plane along the tunnel alignment.Then both alignment can be considered on 2D plane.Here,the method to set the connection horizontal alignment is shown.The connection vertical alignmentca be obtained.The position and the direction angle at beginning point(BP),and ending point(EP) are given.Furthermore, amended alignment configured the arc of radius ¡ÈR¡É and center angle ¡È¦È¡É.The correction alignment can be classified to three types by the change of machine axis direction and the direction from BP to EP.
This study developed the method to set a correction alignment for all types and shown the example of
:to application for all types.
