Application of 2-D numerical model about flow and water temperature transport in shallow water area of the river
HOSOYAMADA Tokuzo
Water temperature in considering the river environment is an important item. In particular habitat suitable temperature of the fish is said to be 28 ¡î. For this reason, it is important to prevent the water temperature rise of the river in summer.
In this study, based on the case of Niigata Prefecture, the grasp of the problems related to the application of 3-D numerical model for the rivers that contain water-reducing interval was carried out. Next, we created a flat 2-D numerical model that can evaluate the water depth and water temperature in the target interval.
A result, 3-D numerical model has been found to be unsuitable in the case of targeting water reduction section.
In a 2-D numerical model is the present study, the water depth can be calculated even in extremely shallow become location. Therefore it is possible to understand the time and spatial direction of the water temperature fluctuation depending on the depth of water distribution and the line flow rate distribution inside the river channel.
Set a different discharge amount from the dam to change the flow rate. And, was visualized changes in the rivers of water depth and water temperature. I was able to evaluate where the riverbed appears above the water surface. And I was able to evaluate the heat in the shallow location of the water depth. However, not sufficiently taken into account at the moment and out of the heat in the river bed and the water surface. For this reason, was seen is a part that is displayed as 40 ¡î or more of hot water.
As the future of study, to improve the program so that the comings and goings of the amount of heat in the river bed and the water surface can be fully taken into account. Thereby aim the sophistication of the model.
