Modeling of the CA of Automobile Engine Noise
Yasuyuki MIYAKI
In the analysis of the propagation of the noise made in the study of history, have yielded good results for moving sound source and point source. However when considering the practical aspects, point source is not valid. For example if vehicle noise, as a sound vehicle to express as valid will, or that questions arise. Expected sound considering the shape of the car sound sources as well as points of the body, there are multiple sources and, if need be.
Author aimed to do this research, closer to the actual measurement analysis to the model of the sound. However, sources in this study and in cars, idling engine noise models. First of all, vehicle noise measurement conducted analyzed the characteristics of the instrument sound. It was found near the engine sound is greatly measured and, on the other hand near the muffler, but low frequency sounds occur. These promote auto sound modeling as the basis. By the pattern of the sound source, examined 36 cases.
As a result, case introduced the instrument sounds for each measuring point near the engine and muffler around measurement points of analysis values obtained measurements with the closest values. Also case with this validation, each reduced to 70%, measurements and the nearest value is obtained. Possible to make sounds relative measurement noise near the engine and muffler near instrument sounds suggest, and closer to the model of the car sound. However, errors of analysis and measurement value is larger, there is room for improvement. Points can be considered as the cause of this is, that analysis is not done in most cases. You should explore the sources are best placed as a problem in the future. It is obtained by advancing the modelling and measurement value is closer, can be expected to improve the development of this research and analysis.
