Title The study on improvement in durability of asphalt mixture for rubbed

Asphalt mixture for rubbed has been widely used in the Hokuriku region.Mainly, Asphalt mixture for rubbed being used at such as snow melting pipe surface treatment.Maximum aggregate particle size is 5mm following mixtures.The problem is flow deformation due to wheel load.also,surface detachment occurs for water and ultraviolet rays.For problem improvement, I was less likely to cause the flow deformation in changing the aggregate blend.I was using the Bailey method as an evaluation index.

The Bailey method is an aggregate gradation design and evaluation process developed in United States. The coarse aggregate (CA) ratio, fine aggregate ratio of the coarse portion (FAc) ratio and fine aggregate ratio of the fine portion (FAf) ratio to design the aggregate interlock and analyze the packing of the combine aggregates for a gradation.In this study, Focusing on CA was determined in six aggregate blend.

First, Plastically flow resistance evaluation carried out the APA(Asphalt Pavement Analtzer) test.Test purpose is asphalt content increase and flow resistance improvement.I used the test specimen which I made in SGC(Superpave Gyratory Compactor) for an examination.The test results showed that the mixture with CA=0.59 produced good rutting. And then after that Four aggregate blend(conventional mixture, nagaoka used mixture, the top two plan)carried out in next test.

Next, delamination resistance evaluation carried out interlayer adhesion strength test.An asphalt mixture for pickpocket reckoning is used in a base by a dense partically size asphalt mixture, the outer layer.When Aggregate parameters(CA) is too big, the filling rate of the aggregate rises.but, the big aggregate between the particle becomes insufficient, and strength becomes lacking in it.

I show the results of assessment.CA is an important aggregate parameter in conjunction with the plastic flow resistance.It is necessary to set the most suitable value.I was able to confirm durable improvement with CA=0.59.
