¡¡In Japan there are 36 prefectures which has implemented a bus-only lane. There are two types of bus-only lanes, one is ¡Èbus and motorcycle-only¡É and the other is ¡Èbus-only¡É. In case of ¡Èbus-only¡É lane, the moped (less than 50cc) travels in the same lane with the bus while the motorcycles (more than 50cc) travel in other lanes. In case of ¡Èbus and motorcycle-only¡É lane, the moped and motorcycle must travel on the first lane with the bus. Currently in Tokyo, the moped and motorcycle must not move in the same lane with the bus but in reality they are moving in all lanes. In addition, according to the previous research due to the development of the subway network the number of people using the bus decreased. It lead to the fact that the function of bus-only lane has deteriorated. Therefore it is necessary to consider the new solution allowing the 2 wheel vehicles moving in all lanes, including the bus-only lanes.
¡¡In this study, we analyze and compare 3 types of bus-only lanes: ¡Èbus-only lane allowing 2 wheel vehicles¡É, ¡Èbus-only lane without 2 wheel vehicles¡É, ¡Èbus and 2 wheel vehicle only lane¡É. In this research, we analyzed the transportation in 246 Ikejiri road and construct the movement model of 3 types of vehicles including bus, 4 wheel vehicle and 2 wheel vehicle. After that, based on the data and their movement we simulate the transportation by C++ language. Finally, this simulation is used to investigate which type of bus-only lanes is the most appropriate for the current transportation in 246 Ikejiri road.
