Study on the rice initial growth characteristics and the yield statistics of municipal unit using time-series MODIS data

This research aims at grasp of the early period of paddy rice growth information and vegetation index of the cities, towns and villages unit for four years pass, on the time series in Japan using the MODIS data which is observing the large area by high frequency, and Comparative review of the early period of paddy rice growth information and yield. However, observation of the vegetation is difficult under the influence of cloud area, it is difficult to grasp of the early paddy rice growth information. Therefore clouds are removed by combining two satellites of Aqua and Terra. If those correlations could be understand, we can reduce the risk of the decrease in income at the age of the early days of the period of growth. Therefore it aims at watching those correlations.
As a city targeted in Niigata, Nagaoka, Toukamachi, Uonuma, extract the mean and the maximum of the DVI for four years, even if age changed, all cities confirmed that it became the wave pattern of the similar graph. All cities almost identified an agreed thing as a cultivation calendar. It divides the degree of leaning of the maximum of the DVI of the early period of paddy rice of the target city into the first half in the latter half and take it and, it was able to confirm that a way of the increase in maximum of the DVI of the early period of paddy rice changed between target cities. It takes the degree of leaning of the maximum of the DVI of the early period of paddy rice of the target city, it watches the relations with the yield, it was not able to watch a clear correlation. It takes the maximum during a period of the DVI of the target city, if It watches the relations with the yield altogether, It was able to confirm that it had a high association between the yield and the maximum during a period.
