Study on the change and problem of aged persons households at Central Area in Local City

This study clarifies the condition of low used and unused land made by the change of the aged person households at the central area in the local city. We select 4 district at the central part of Nagaoka City taken up by the past study where the ratio of aged own house household is high. This study treats 103 households that has been already aged person household at that time.
As a result of this study, we clarify that 17 households has become vacancy and 9 households has become unoccupied land. In addition, we find that 31 families (82%) in 38 families have not decided the intention of the residence succession yet in spite of ten years or more passed.
In the center part of a local city, it is difficult that the aged person household would be succeeded as residence because heir's child household lives in a new place. Therefore the progress of further low unused land will be feared in the future.
