3D laser surveying can acquire reflection strength or positional information and is one of the remote sensing technologies that can expect a highly precise measurement. The laser wavelength range of this three-dimensional laser surveying is the short wavelength infrared region (1300nm-2500nm ). When the object has water, it absorbs light. In remote sensing, it is used in evaluation technique of the water content of the soil and the vegetation.
There is two kinds of 3D laser surveying, It is aviation laser surveying that put a scanner on the airplane and terrestrial laser surveying to install a scanner on the ground. Kobayashi and others (2005) suggested the possibility of the soil fluid volume estimate by the aviation laser surveying. However, distance and an angle were not considered. These greatly affect terrestrial laser scanner. Therefore, Sarashi (2012) performed experiment about distance and angle, investigated about these influence.
The purpose to measure the reflection strength of a lattice different in distance by laser scanner, and examination about the tendency to decrement of the reflectance depending on a ratio of the lattice for the laser spot. In addition, I paid attention to the short wavelength infrared region having to absorption characteristics. I compared the water content with the reflectance of soil vegetation by a laser scanner measurement, and I examined the possibility of the water content estimate of soil and vegetation.
In reflection strength information measured by terrestrial laser scanner, I understood that strength damped depending on the drop of the share of the measurement object. As for the drop depending on distance in the reflectance of the laser scanner, what a share of the paddy-rice to correspond to in a laser spot influenced was suggested. About a reflection strength measurement of the soil and the vegetation, the vegetation did not have high correlation that between water content and reflectance. However, the soil had a high negative association between water content and reflectance.
