Examination of grasp of revival situation of disaster farmland using satellite imagery

On March 11, 2011, the greatest earthquake in Japan in the history of observation occurred, and the Tsunami occurred on it. The Tsunami brought destructive damage to the Pacific coast, and did serious damage also in farmland, such as submergence, salt damage, to it. On March 11, 2012, restoration work of 4855 ha of more than 30% of agricultural land Disaster is finished. The purpose of this study of grasp the situation of farmland reconstruction over two years. It is difficult to determine from NDVI value but using color composite image together with the near-infrared band of the time 3, I was able to make a difference in their compartment. According to the result of the determination, In areas where salt has been removed was no planting in 2011 but 2012 had been planting 80 percent .However, in the part small, there is a determination that is different from the condition of the local. May be considered as the reason, the outer ones affected farms, NDVI is lower in the compartments. One of reason, I thought that a structural object of outside the farmland affected NDVI.
