Expansion joint of road bridge(hereinafter referred to as a joint) are prone to leakage because the road surface is discontinuous.Road surface water including the anti-freezing agent flows to girder from joint . salt damage of the ends digit of the upper structure, has become a problem on the maintenance.As the measures, I studied the development of the consolidated joint which is the one of no-joint construction methods.The purpose of the paper is to examine the applicability of consolidated joint of existing steel bridge for small and medium-sized.
First, in order to grasp the behavior of the real bridge is measuring the expansion and contraction of the digits due to changes in day temperature and loading test ,to subject to the existing steel bridge. In addition, calculate the stress generated in the connecting member by the loading test, and examine axial force due to temperature changes in the analysis.Next,conduct tests using simulated specimens in order to grasp the structure performance (load and displacement relationship, ultimate strength, destroyed state) of the consolidated joint.Finally,perform the parametric analysis in order to clarify the span applied.
The following summarizes the findings of this study.
In the consolidated joint ,temperature stress confirmed that has been excellence than the live load.In a test simulating the joint back,I grasp destroyed state ,and proposed a method to estimate the strength.I grasped ultimate strength,grasped destroyed state by test of simulated specimens of the consolidated joint.Concrete cracks occur on the upper surface of the consolidated joint, expand as the mountain. and it destroy.In the parametric analysis that consolidated joint is secure against temperature change has been confirmed
