Factor analysis and risk assessment of landslide earthquake in the Chuetsu Earthquake

Satoru OHTSUKA

Severe landslide disaster occurred in 2004 Mid-Niigata prefecture earthquake. The devastated area is well known for high density landslides, where landslide landform is highly developed. Landslides caused by earthquake have been surveyed by National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention and they were classified into failure patterns such as surface failure, shallow failure and deep failure. These landslide data was organized on geographical information system and used for landslide property analysis. Elevation, geology and landslide configuration have been digitized and provided by related public sections. There exist dense survey data on strike and dip of layers in the geological map of devastated area. Stratum inclination map was newly developed by interpolating stratum data. On the effect of seismic motion the distance from fault plane to landslide site is taking into account. Landslide property is discussed with occurrence rate of landslide as possible. The contents of this paper are listed as follows.
Analysis of ground motion was performed from the back calculation of Occurrence rate of surface slope failure. As a result ,the ground motion follows: At near of fault plane was 0.28 กม 0.26 ,and the point of 6km from fault plane was 0.13 กม 0.12 .
Proposed the model of landslide risk assessment in the target areas. Based on the Occurrence rate of factor in landslides, was evaluated by multiple regression analysis the impact of each. We proposed landslide risk assessment as a highly versatile landslide prediction model. Were also carried out risk assessment for the current status of landslide occurrence in the target area. As a result, we were able to propose measures to help disaster prevention measures in the future.
