Evaluation of tourism-related measures were used to inter-regional input-output tables, Niigata Prefecture

In this study,a tourism-related measure is presented for regional economy activation.The effect of it is measured for each area from an induction demand model and an input output table of the study area that is not analyzed by the area unit. We evaluate the influence of the tourism measure with a special discount fare for express way on a holiday. Firstly, by applying the induced demand model with microeconomic theory and household consumption; we formulate the problem as utility maximization behavior of households considering tourism expense. An economical statistics input-output table has been made from existing statistics date based on Niigata table of economical statistics.
The number of the tourism increase by the people with car, it becomes 497,115/ year by a special discount on a holiday because the utility increase the trip number and of the choice behavior of the households. In the Kaetsu area, there are many prefecture tourists from entertainment facilities, conversely, in Uonuma area, the number of the people of outside the prefecture tourism occupies from the influence of skiing areas from the enhancement of the amusement. An area that has attractre tourism spos is high, a large amount tourists visit there from the outside the prefecture, even though the economic infrastructure and transporation services are poor.
The economic impact is estimated at approximately \27.3 billion in the whole county. Special holiday discount and there is a certain effect on the local economy activation to induce the number of tourism. As a measure higher than the activation area for nearly half of the amount of ripple effect that would flow out to other regions and to see a breakdown of the economic ripple effect, if you do not accept the local economy to create a system that can be reduced to the region through tourism but the cost of self-effect is not obtained
