Research on subsidence mechanism after Chuetsu-oki the marine clay that has structure

Satoru OHTSUKA

The liquefaction etc. of the sandiness ground were often paid to attention as for the damage report due to a past earthquake, and the damage of the viscous land board was judged to be a comparatively negligible for the liquidizing damage of the extensive sandiness ground as for the Chuetsu coast earthquake that had occurred in 2007. However, it is clarified to have caused the subsidence of the viscous land board in the Shinbashi district in Kashiwazaki City for a long term after the earthquake in the subsidence observation of passing year of Kashiwazaki plains by Niigata Prefecture. In this report, it paid attention to "Structure of the soil" as a key factor of the subsidence after the earthquake, the subsidence executed the sample sampling from the caused Niigata Prefecture Kashiwazaki district for a long term with the drilling survey after the earthquake, the geological features characteristic, the consolidation characteristic, and the shear characteristic were examined, and the long-term subsidence mechanism after the earthquake was investigated. As for the stratum in the Kashiwazaki district where the subsidence was generated, after the earthquake of the Chuetsu coast, it was understood to contain a weak marine clay land board that corresponded to the index of the ground that had the structure, and to cause the softening consolidation according to making of the structure a low order the high rank by receiving the shearing load.
