Study on ideal way of urban maintenance considering property tax revenue

In the local city, revenue keeps decreasing along with a recent financial difficulty and the population decrease in the future. For sustainable city planning, securing the property tax revenue is needed. The decline of the downtown and built-up area decreases the property tax revenue. In addition, the decline of the downtown and built-up area causes a decrease in the property tax revenue in the entire city.
In this study, we understand the trend of the property tax revenue according to the type of urban area for Nagaoka City, Matsumoto City, Ueda City and Kochi City. We examine what urban index influences for the property tax revenue. As a result, we can find the relation between an urban index and the property tax revenue. In addition, the city where an urban index is dominant works dominant in respect of the property tax index. In addition, the city where an urban index is excellent works at an excellent direction in respect of the property tax index. Moreover, we are able to understand that a decrease in the property tax revenue of Ueda City which condition is not good is large. Then this study propose the ideal way of urban improvement in the future.
