Extraction of Seasonal distribution of vegetation by cloud area reduction using time series MODIS data
Atsushi Rikimaru

In this research, the satellite image which reduced the cloud area by the
complement technique from contiguity time was created using the EOS-Aqua
observational data of a time series, and it aimed at grasping the vegetation
distribution classified by season.

The object area of this research made Kanto Plain and its circumference
the object domain. This is because it is easy to catch vegetation change,
such as a fixture of a paddy field, through every year.

The analysis of satellite data computed the vegetation index and the bare
soil index, created the cloud area reduction picture, and considered
vegetation distribution classified by season.

The LANDSAT data observed at the same period as the crop calendar of the
field was used for reference data of the vegetation distribution classified
by season.

Transition for one year of vegetation and bare soil was able to be obtained
from the picture which reduced cloud area
