Quantitative Research of runoff concentration time of flood with Distributed Runoff Model

Runoff concentration time of flood is necessary for deciding design flood discharge which is important index for river planning. A lot of equations of runoff concentration time of flood have to decide parameter which contains topographic characteristics. However these equations give value greatly depending on for choosed parameter. In this study, we researched the influence of topographic/rainfall character to runoff concentration time of flood with distributed hydrological model, and we got equations of runoff concentration time of flood. Research of arrival time of flood used Muikamachi catchment data in Uono river. And we made some catchments data which expand Muikamachi catchment model data to change topographic characteristics from based catchment. In the result, the derived equation of runoff concentration time of flood based on length of flow path, gradient of flow path, rainfall to the catchment, shape of catchment was derived. The derived has stated parameter and high correlation with arrival time. Calculated runoff concentration time of flood with derived equation in the model catchments fall inside variation of calculated arrival time of flood with former equation in some parameter value. From this, calculated result of derived equation is confirmed, be valid
