Peeling Property of Steel Members Bonded to CFRP Strand Sheet
Masatugu NAGAI
For the repair of corroded steel members, the adoption of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) with light weight, high elasticity, high strength and high durability has been drawn attention and has been increasing. For the design of CFRP strand sheet bonding to steel members, one of issues to be resolved is to identify peeling behavior of CFRP.
In order to clarify the peeling characteristics of CFRP bonded to steel plates, in this study, the experimental study was carried out.Newly developed High-elasticity type CFRP ¡ÈStrand Sheet¡É were bonded to steel flat plates and steel flanges in rolled-H beams, which are subjected to pure tension and pure bending.
The followings are main results obtained from this study.
1) The peeling load was nearly the same when each sheet was bonded with a dislocation length of 25mm.
2) When the dislocation length is 25mm, the peeling load of strand sheet was smaller compared to that of conventional CFRP sheet.
3) Under the same transfering force to CFRP, when the dislocation length of each sheet is zero, the peeling load of conventional CFRP was smaller
