Extraction of three-dimensional tree from parameters using airborne laser scanner data

Recently,the effect of the natural environment to the trees are socially important.It was thought that the diversity is facter of demand for the tree like the savings ability etc. of the forest where the rain water can be saved without using the artificial material.Besides,the amount of the tree resource is quantity actively monitored in the urban area and the forest.The large area is requested to be monitored accurately in a short time when the amount of the resource is investigated.So far, the amount of the tree resource had been investigated by the airborne laser measurement.However, there are a lot of cases that the monitoring area for the investigation fall into whole area of the forest, instead of a single tree.Therefore the airborne laser scanner data acquired by the airborne laser measurement,studied thoroughly.The understanding of the parameters extraction concerning the shape of the three-dimensional shape characteristic for the plains part of the tree was examined by using the airborne laser scanner data.It paid attention to changing the tree crown in a perpendicular direction in the present study. A tree crown internal parameter that expressed the inside of a tree outline parameter and the contour shape of the tree was set.The analytical object area was set at the Niigata Prefecture Nagaoka City Nakazawa district. The tree for the research sets to the Liriodendron tulipifera, the prunus spp, and the cryptomeria japonica and has been extracted in three dimensional tree former parameter.The tree parameter setting was the divided into two part of the tree crown internal parameters that expressed the tree outline parameter,the contour shape of the tree and the inner geometry of the tree.To extract tree outline parameter. The Digital Elevation Model was made.Whereas,the outline of the deciduous tree and the conifer shape properties were expressed.The characteristic of the tree crown internal parameter was able to be understood by extracting the reflection pulse distribution characteristic in the tree.The cover characteristic of the tree has been extracted from distributive characteristics of the reflection laser pulse and the Beer-Lambert rule.The variation of by the different characteristic of the tree was able to be detected.And, the leaf area might was able to be extracted by extracting the presumption leaf area.It had been understood the ability to extract the three-dimensional shape parameter of the tree by using airborne laser scanner data as mentioned above.
