The development of the soil infiltration model for distributed runoff model

Minjiao LU

This study purpose is development of the soil infiltration model that introduction is possible for a distributed runoff model. The method that can express the runoff of the soil surface from infiltration process of the soil is arrived at in the study. At first soil infiltration model based on Richards equation was developed. It is said that water flow the soil is expressed precisely by using Richards equation. The developed soil infiltration model was compared with existing software, and a good result was provided. Secondly, the soil infiltration model was used for the inspection of the infiltration process. The inspection paid its attention to the space of the soil and quantity of water of the vicinity of soil surface. By the result, it is thought that the quantity to infiltrate in the soil is influenced by the size of the gap of the soil. The increase of the quantity of water of the vicinity of soil surface decreased the quantity that could infiltrate in the soil. Furthermore, a parameter was changed, and inspection was performed, but a similar result was provided. The runoff from soil surface is demanded by grasping the space of the soil and quantity of water of the vicinity of soil surface
