A study about the durability evaluation of the asphalt rubber mixture

Now, for the introduction of the asphalt rubber (AR) which is expected as utilization to the field of road of the disposal tire, the examination execution evaluation is positively performed in our country.
However, it does not yet reach to true pavement, and it is the present conditions that there are a few data about service.
In addition, AR is generally used in the United States and other European countries. But the use of aggregate or particle size of the rubber powder are different in other countries, it is necessary to confirm the adaptability in Japan.
Therefore, in this study, the author re-created AR mixture after deterioration by promoting the deterioration forcibly at the indoor, and evaluated the durability of the AR mixture after the deterioration by comparing with the mixture which used the binder that is generally used. The author chose the crack resistance, the bending flexure at the time of low temperature, and the fluidity-resistance as the evaluation items in pavement, and then compared the durability with a modified mixture.
As a result, it was inferior to a modified mixture about the fluidity-resistant slightly. but about crack resistance and the bending flexure at the time of the low temperature, showed a modified mixture and the equal durability. And it followed that an AR mixture was bigger as for the displacement before reaching the destruction point.
