Feature and Problem of Urban Redevelopment Project in Local City

This study aims to examine an effective way of the urban redevelopment project by analyzing the problem of the urban redevelopment project in the local city and analyzing new idea or approach at recent years.
First of all, we clarify the difference of the redevelopment project in the large city and the local city from the data base. Next, we conduct the questionnaire survey for 292 districts in the local city, and understand the management situation and future intention of the local authorities. Moreover, we executed the hearing investigation to the local authorities, and understood the situation of the redevelopment project district and the intention of the local authorities.
As a result, we clarify that the older the time of the construction completion is and the smaller the population scale of the local authority is, the larger the ratio of the district where it has the problem is. Moreover, we understand that the use of participation union member system and the city planning company is effective as a technique for the project.
