Analysis about snow removal cost by simulation model of snow removal

The urban traffic function isn¡Çt a cause for concern in normal snowfall because the system of snow removal is maintained by improving its level. However, the municipality is requested snow removal cost reduction because its financial condition is severe in recent years. Therefore, it is so difficult to maintain on present current system of the road snow removal. So, the purpose of this research is to construct simulation model of snow removal, and to clear up the questionable points of multiplication method of snow removal cost by doing the estimation and analysis snow removal cost with it. The process for analysis of snow removal cost is three steps. First, it is to construct simulation model of snow removal in national road. Second, based on simulation model in national road, it is to construct simulation model of snow removal in prefecture road too. Finally, it is to compare of snow removal cost with both simulation models under the same conditions. AS a result, it was able to estimate that snow removal cost in national road is about twice prefecture road in case of normal snowfall and it is about four times or more in case of a little snowfall. Next, result of comparing snow removal cost per area, it was able to estimate that snow removal cost per area is about one point five prefecture road in case of normal snowfall and it is about three times in case of a little snowfall. At this time, I think so that most serious problem is multiplication method of snow removal cost in prefecture road that it isn¡Çt comprehended accessorial cost.
