Analysis on commuter's Travel behavior by Computerized Survey

In this paper, computerized travel data collection system has been developed for a modal choice model. In Niigata city introduction of the LRT is examined for the environment, aging society and car dependency. It is desirable to conduct Stated Preference survey which can acquire the information on a preference over the virtual alternatives. In questionnaire, first, it was Revealed Preference survey to understand a present commuting situation, next, conducted to Stated Preference survey. Difference is confirmed from the result of Revealed Preference survey and Stated Preference survey. From the estimated result of Revealed Preference model, non riding time has influenced mode of modal choice than riding time. From the presumption result of Stated Preference model, it was able to be confirmed to value the time required more than the fares in commuting. Current used transportation strongly influenced to their modal choices. Moreover computerized survey could produce realistic questionnaire that answerer can reply easily and could reduce input mistakes.
