Effect of Doping Ceria Anodic Oxidation of Methane on Ni-based Cermet

Kazunori SATO

In this paper, Ni- x mass%YSZ- 45 ? x mass%CeO2(x = 0, 5 , 10 , 20 , 45) anodes for Solid
oxide Fuel Cells( SOFCs ) were prepared by Solid-phase method. In mass ratio of 5 and 45
mass% showed high stabilization for methane in 6 hours. The anodic voltage in x = 45 was
the lowest in five anodes. Doping Ceria was able to change the anodic organization.
And it is possible to improves Ni metals dispersibility. The result of Open Circuit
Voltage probably showed that CeO2-based anode discharge Oxygen gas. It suggested that
the anode acquired restraint of carbon deposition.
