Kinetic Study on Generation of Sandbar at the Agano River Mouth

Sandbar at the Agano River Mouth has been enumerated as one of the problems on the flood control safety of the downstream part.For that reason,understanding the movement of the river mouth is of considerable practical significance.The objective of the present investigation is development for predicting movement of the river mouth.
A numeric model by whom the change in the sea wave and the geographical features formed according to the wave in the mouth of a river was evaluated overall was used.In this research,a regular waves were applied as a condition of an incidence wave,and real geographical features data was made from the Fccasa ordnance map in April,2008 for the geographical features data.A basic movement characteristic of earth an sand of actual geographical features wa understood,it comparec with the ordnance map of the river that was the actual locale in April,2009,and the validily of the computing model was verified.
Place of 48 hours in which it calculated,river mouth sandbar and river mouth terrace were pushed into the upstream side of the river at time.Compared with Fccasa ordnance map on April,2009,the phenomenon that river mouth sandbar was pushed into the stream side of the river was corresponding.
From these results,the movement characteristic of river mouth sandbar was clarified by the computing model calculated by this research.
