An action of the community transportation support by community bus -A Case Study in UONUMA city-

For the person who cannot drive a car, the public transport such as buses is necessary. The bus users continued decreasing by development of the motorization, and the bus enterprise abolished it from the unprofitable route because relaxation of the regulation was carried out in 2002.These situation appears conspicuously in rural area. The bus route must support even an unprofitable business. In the area with a little demand, a demand type taxi is introduced. I clarified whether I could introduce a demand taxi into the UONUMA city IRIHIROSE area that was the area for of this study by questionary survey.
In this study, I suggested a new public transport system. At first I clarified inhabitants expected any kind of service and what kind of service hated from questionary survey. I performed questionary survey to know what kind of service citizens expected. I elucidated a lot of citizens who had resistance for "every other day service" and "a telephone reservation" elucidated that I was. There were many citizens with resistance in "every other day service" and "a telephone reservation", and it became clear that there was as a result that I investigated it. The new public transportation that I suggested separated time of 1st in "commuting to and from school time" and "day time". I operate the bus of the different service method in each time. I elucidated that a demand taxi could run for 25,000 yen per a day.
