Examination of all-focus image generation method that used multiple microscope focus images

Atsushi RIKIMARU

A microscope image is used to research a minimum area of archaeological evidence. However, depth of field becomes narrow so as to become high magnification. Therefore all-focus image which focused on all-areas is necessary when we investigate a large area. Therefore all-focus image which focused on all-areas is necessary when we investigate a large area. Because shape and depth of a research object are clear in an existing study, generation of all-focus image is easy. However, in the case of the object which shape and depth are not clear on like a natural object, it is not easy to generate all-focus image. Therefore we pay my attention to the next characteristic such as two of a focus area. (1) A lot of high frequency ingredients are included when they compare a focus area with a non-focus area, (2) In the focus area, a difference of local maximum and local minimum of contrast in a local area is big.
We propose a new method we use a range filter based on a characteristic of a focus area in this study, and to generate all-focus image. We compare the range image which we generated and generate a maximum range image. We adopt more than threshold that we decided as a focus area. And we composed a focus area and the mean and examined whether I could generate all-focus image.
