An Examination of forest management based on satellite imagining and forest GIS data

Atsushi Rikimaru

In Japan, forest thinning has become a difficult task for growth management, because of problems associated with cost, labor and time. Grasp of an area is not enough.
Therefore I am deep, and this study calculates forest canopy density with a relation by an FCD(Forest Canopy Density) model when I pick it out with satellite data and I estimate a growth model of the forest in what I can compare with forest instar information of forest GIS(Geographic Information System) data more and grasp forest state.
I am aimed at correct wide area, efficiency performing grasp of forest state while considering problems such as an update delay of forest GIS data brought into question conventionally in the case or a positional gap.
