Effect of Deformation and Stress on Uniaxial Concrete Specimens under Restraint Drying Shrinkage
SupervisorFTakumi SHIMOMURA
It is necessary to clarify characteristic of a stress and an effective strain of the concrete when shrinkage is restrained to calculation the crack in the drying shrinkage. In this study, Test for drying shrinkage cracking of restricted concrete (JIS method) was applied, and the experiment that the absorption of moisture and the release from restraint for a dry period was done. And, the elastic strain, plastic strain and creep strain included in an effective strain of a uniaxial concrete specimen under restraint drying shrinkage were extracted.
The results of the study are shown below.
(1)The larger the tensile stress introduced into the concrete, the elastic strain and plastic strain are larger.
(2)The elastic strain is in a linear relationship with the maximum stress of concrete.
(3)The relationship between sum of the elastic strain and the creep strain and the maximum stress of concrete were plotted on about of a static modulus of elasticity of concrete.
(4)Therefore, it is thought that the reason why the modulus of effective elasticity is smaller than a static modulus of elasticity of concrete in uniaxial concrete specimen under restraint is a part that corresponds to plastic strain.
