In recent years reduction of life cycle cost (LCC) has become an important problem.In this point of view, the weathering steel is the steel materials which are attractive in order to be able to use it by the no painting.The weathering steel has a work to restrain corrosion action by forming high stability rust of coherence nature on the steel materials surface.Formation of this stability rust is high Influenced by sea salt spray.In use of a weathering steel, users are must measure sea salt spray for one year and must be less than 0.05mdd.However, as for the sea salt spray, great labor and time become necessary for the measurement in order to change through the year.Therefore it was assumed that an offshore distance might omit investigation in an enough area.The offshore distance which may omit investigation grows more than 20km in the area that faced the Sea of Japan of Hokuriku northward.Therefore area for or this which most plains part in Niigata investigates suffer with a big obstacle of adoption of the weathering steel.It is important that predict sea salt spray and it is useful to make clear the influence that bridge outskirts environment gives sea salt spray.
It is expected that there is difference between corrosion environment by a location by a corrosion state being different by windward / the lee, the inside / the outside of a figure in a location in the same bridge.Thus we examined findings of sea salt spray of a different location in a bridge and comparison of a result by flow analysis by a limited element method and examined possibility of corrosion environmental evaluation by numerical simulation.
