Study on the Needle Penetration Test of Form Composite Light-weight Soil vol.2

In the last year, Shima proposed the equation that presumed the unconfined compressive strength of Composite Light-weight Soil from the needle penetration value. In this study, some tests were performed for decision in the reliability way of the needle penetration test and investigation about the needle penetration test in the field. The followings are the main knowledge that obtained in this study.
(1)As a result of the needle penetration test for consideration of the influence of the penetrate interval of a needle on fluctuations of measured values, it turns out that a good result can be obtained in case of over 20 millimeter.
(2)As a result of the needle penetration test, it can estimate penetrate resistance accurately in the inflection point of the penetration loads`displacement curve.
(3)As a result of the needle penetration test, the strength becomes weak value in the lower part of the specimen.
(4)As a result of the needle penetration test, it is expected that the application to the needle penetration test in the place.
