The Study about Side Surface Frictional Resistance of Deeply-placed Ground Anchorage
Takaya KAINO
There are a few studies on the deeply-placed extremely long fixed anchor now, and the frictional behavior between fixed anchor and soil is not known exactly. In this study, for the purpose of estimating a side surface frictional resistance distribution of the deeply-placed fixed anchor, I did pull-out tests by means of quasi- anchorage (length: 1 meter, diameter: 140 millimeter) and quasi-ground (gravel, sand with gravel, fine sand). In addition, during pull-out tests the quasi-ground was loaded with 4jacks ipressure:180kPa or 360kPajfor vertical direction. To add to pill-out tests I did FEM analysis to verify the result of pull-out tests. The followings are the main results that obtained in this study.
(1)In pull-out tests, behavior of ultimate side surface frictional resistance and residual side surface frictional changes different greatly by kind of ground, the make of fixed anchor and the volume of vertical loads.
(2)As the displacement of fixed anchor length increases in pull-out tests, the part of great side surface frictional resistance moves from top of the fixed anchor to its tip.
