A Study about Applicability of Asphalt-Rubber in Freezing-Prevention Pavement

We previously reported that freezing-prevention pavement used AR-binder with rubber chips which surface coated with polyurethane resin and mineral powder. In this study, we evaluated applicability of AR-binder to freezing-prevention pavement, and the effect of surface treatment of rubber chips
The results of Marshall stability test and immersion Marshall stability test shows follows.
Marshall stabilities of freezing-prevention pavement used AR-binder with rubber chips exceed a standard value, and flow values were less than usual freezing-prevention pavement. And the residual stabilities about all of these mixtures exceed a standard value. Therefore, moisture sensitivities are enough.
