Study on the Reduction of Zoning Area

There is no study that pays attention to the reduction of zoning area in the non-area designated local authorities. Then, this study aims to consider the ideal way of the zoning of the future for non-area designated local authorities having reduced the zoning area which will increase at the population decrease society in the future.

We find that the population frame was excessively set, and had not been linked with the zoning, and that most local authorities set an excessive zoning area. These were the reasons of the reduction of zoning area. The district where the zoning was reduced has the high possibility of development afterwards. Many local authorities newly incorporate such district into the agricultural development area for the development prevention measures.
