Kazushi SANO,Shoji MATSUMOTO
It is important to focus on the service offered to the elderly to keep the mobility and satisfy their needs. DRT is believed to make an important role for this purpose. We conducted an activity diary survey for a week in Nagaoka, Niigata to recognize the behavior of the elderly and their preferences to the proposed DRT service. Regression analysis is applied to trip generation and discriminant analysis is used to analyze the preference of the elderly to DRT service. A multinomial logit model is also developed to grasp the factors influencing their decisions of mode choice.
