Influences of Aggregate in Shrinkage of Concrete

SuperviserFTakumi SHIMOMURA

In the shrinkage phenomena of concrete, the aggregate has two roles that are dilution of cement-paste volume and deformation restraint. In this research, these influences were evaluated through the experiment which considered the parameter of aggregate elastic coefficient and the rate of aggregate volume. For the amount of emission water and autogenous shrinkage, it is experimentally showed that the effect of dilation of the cement-paste concentration in concrete was high. For dry shrinkage, it was confirmed in experiment and analysis that the influence of the internal restraint resulting from the spatial slope of volume change cannot be disregarded.
