Research on the application of the SEA method that considers noise spread to The Railroad Bridge Noise

Yasuyuki MIYAKI

This research is a investigation on the application of the statistical energy analysis method (the following SEA method) to a railway bridge, that is good at the calculation of frequency bands of high and middle, and it is important as the noise.

Last year, the ability of applying the SEA method in a real railway bridge was confirmed. However, the forecast accuracy of noise level was not enough because, only distance attenuation was thought. Therefore, this research aimed at the improvement of forecast accuracy. And in this research the SEA method in addition to the noise propagation in consideration of crossbeam and the stringer having properties of the barrier is developed.

First of all, this year the SEA program was refined. Next, the solid sound was analyzed by the noise propagation program in addition to effect of the diffraction. As a result, the forecast accuracy has been improved.
