Adsorption of various components to zeolite@for improvement of water culture medium.

Matusita Kazumasa

When onions and garlics are grown up by the water culture, potassium in water is very important.
In this study, adsorption and elution test was carried out to adsorb potassium on zeolite under various conditions in which volume ratio of zeolite to solution, temperature, pressure and concentration of potassium in solution were changed. Then, filtered it, potassium and other main elements adsorbed|eluted with the filtered solution were measured by ICP.
As a results, potassium was most adsorbed, when the concentration of potassium in the solution is increased by adding the potassium carbonate to the adsorption solution.
And when potassium concentration in solutions were same. Potassium was more adsorbed in more basic solution.
The adsorption process was analyzed based on adsorption isotherm theory.
