Analysis of air lift partial nitrification reactor support

Akiyoshi OHASHI, Hideki HARADA, and Hiroyuki IMACHI

A reactor is an air lift type. Volume of the reactor is 3L. And the support is a sponge of 3mm corner. The amount of the filling of the support was assumed to be 1L in the volume, and quantity of inflow be 13-14L/day, and the temperature maintained 35 and the pH to 7.5 by the pH controller and the amount of air made 1.2-2.0L/min and volumetric of ammonia loading rate to 2.0-2.5gNH4+-N/L/day. And the alkalinity additive used sodium bicarbonate.

As a result of the experiment, the reproducibility of the partial nitrification was confirmed in the terms and conditions above. The partial nitrification was maintained when measuring it by using the mixture solution of two phosphoric acid hydrogen sodiums and sodium hydroxides for the alkali additive. As a result, it turned out that the density of IC was unrelated to the partial nitrification. The support was analyzed in the microelectrode. As a result, when sodium bicarbonate and 'Mixture solution of two phosphoric acid hydrogen sodiums and sodium hydroxides' were used, it played and the change of the pH in Tai was suggested that there be a buffer action small. It was proven that there was no relation between the density of IC and the partial nitrification as a result.
The experiment that has not ended as long as time of the future permits is scheduled to be conducted.
