As for the grasp of the farmland distribution and the change of the world, the approach that has used the remote sensing technology up to now has been done. It is important to understand the farming environment of the farmland for premeditated land use and the water resource use in the future.

Therefore, it aimed to examine the farming environment grasp of the farmland in the Indochina by using the satellite data in a study.

It paid attention to physical properties with large specific heat and thermal capacity of water in this study. It calculated from the heat image, and the grasp of the water utilization change in the farmland was tried from the change in day and night temperatures. Moreover, the farming environment of the farmland was guessed by understanding the vegetation change at the same time. The satellite image used is EOS/TERRA MODIS data set that NASA is operating.

As a result, it was suggested to be able to grasp the farming environment by grasping the water utilization change and the vegetation change.
