Sensitivity Analysis of Influencing Factors on Airborne Salt to Concrete Structures

SupervisorFProf.Takumi SHIMOMURA

The objectives of this study are to analyze influencing factors, for example, weather conditions such as wave and wind, and geometric conditions such as distance from the coast to concrete structures, types of concrete structures and geographical features, on airborne salt to concrete structures in the coast by numerical simulation. The numerical simulation method is the method of YAMADA-HOSOYAMADA developed in the field of Coastal Engineering.
The contents of study were shown below:
1) Application YAMADA-HOSOYAMADA's method on Durability Problems in Concrete Engineering.
2) Sensitivity analysis of influencing factors on airborne salt to concrete structures.
3) Comparison of surface salt quantity shown in Standard Specification for Concrete Structures and airborne salt quantity calculated by numerical simulation.
4) Comparison of airborne salt quantity in observation and calculation.
