Enhancement of Analysis Method for Drying Shrinkage Stress in Concrete Memberby the Composite Constitutive Model

Supervisor Takumi SHIMOMURA

This study focused on research by Obata and Aoki to make full use of composite constitutive model and correctly express shrinkage, creep phenomenon and condition of crack initiation. It analyzed sustained unconfined tensile specimens and unconfined restrained specimens by Aokifs research using Obatafs method and studied how take predictive accuracy of member sectional stress, improving points and condition of crack initiation in the composite constitutive model. It analyzed cylindrical restrained specimens by Aokifs method and studied whether in specimens of other form, tensile deformation characteristics and condition of crack initiation would be applicable.
The results are shown below

1) In the composite constitutive model, although the down of effective modulus of elasticity by drying can be expressed, the down by load speed cannot be expressed.
2) In the composite constitutive model, the down of the crack initiation stress by drying can be expressed.
3) In cylindrical restrained specimens, Aokifs method cannot be applicable.
