The Precision Improvement of the Slope Collapse Observation System using Color Images

Kunio TORII

At present, various slope collapse observation systems have been researched and developed as the methods which catches the sign of slope collapse. So, the slope collapse observation systems using CCD cameras was developed in this laboratory. However, this system had a problem of following great dangers when the targets are installed and removed.
In order to solve this problem, the slope collapse observation system using color images was introduced. In this system, alternative targets, such stones on the slope, are substituted for the usual targets.
As for this research, it aimed at the improvement in the measurement precision of this system.
This aim was realized by using a principal component analysis before the distinction analysis processing. And, the expansion of the adaptation range was realized, too.
