Study on the Settlement Characteristic of the Cast in Place Pile that was used to Underpinning

When the Kyoto city subway Karasuma line was built the underpinning method was used. Load-settlement quantity relation was summarized on the basis of the measuring data in the time that the pre-load was given to 56 temporary supporting piles made with cast in place method. And I proposed the equation that estimated settlement quantity of the pile top.
Many errors were included in the calculation results due to the bearing characteristic with the changeability of the cast in place pile. However, there is no deviation in the total mean value of the values that were calculated by the proposal equation and the equation is considered applicable to the estimation of the 1st approximate value.
