Development of the Slope Observation System using Color Images
Kunio TORII
As of, there have been a lot of accidents by the mudslide or the calamity of slope collapse, and strengthening of slope observation organization has been a problem.
Therefore, there is a slope surveillance system using the CCD camera performed at this laboratory.
This is one of the methods which catches the sign of collapse.
However, there was a problem of following a great labor and great danger on installation of a target in this system.
Then, in order to solve this problem, the slope surveillance system using the color CCD camera was introduced.
In this system, objects, such as a stone on a slope, are extracted as an alternative target of the conventional target, and are formed into binarization to it, and the method of calculating the bary center coordinates and measuring the amount of movements is measured.
By using the distinction analysis in a multi-variable analysis for extraction of an alternative target, this year has improved the influence of sunlight than the last year.
Moreover, the method of using a wooden trunk for an alternative target as objects other than a stone was developed by using binary pattern matching.
It became possible to measure the amount of movements using a wooden trunk by this method.
