Research on the Method of the Winter Road Management by the Traffic Stream Simulation
Teruhiko MARUYAMA
In the snow cold area the traffic is influenced by snow, so the traffic is influenced by life of people in this area and deceased transport capacity. The administration manages the winter road for minimizing such influence. The snow-removal is the main work, but the effect of the snow-removal isn't evaluated. Therefore users want high road service. The research have been investigated the winter road management using Road Management Service Index (RMSI). As this index is based on the speed of car, this index is thought to reflect user's mind. And to be used RMSI for the winter road management was thought to be able to reflect user's mind. Therefore, the driving test have been done on R-17 in yuzawa. This purpose was to gather line data, because some fixed-point observations are the point data. And gathered data were used for constructing the winter traffic stream simulation by neural network algorism. The result, I knew that understanding RMSI as line data was able to decide on when snow-removal work would have to be done. And the data of fixed-point observations have been investigated to able to use for the winter traffic stream simulation. The result, I knew the point data by some fixed point observations could be evaluated the winter road.
